I’ve been a fine-art photographer for thirty years, and had a point-and-shoot camera in my hands from age seven on. After studying religion and the history of art as an undergraduate, I received an M.F.A. in photography from California College of the Arts, where I studied with Larry Sultan, as well as Todd Hido, J. John Priola, and Chris Johnson. In its Jan/Feb 2002 LOVE issue, V Magazine named me one of fourteen photographers in “the new generation coming into focus.” I had solo exhibitions in San Francisco and New York City, was part of several group exhibitions in London, and then chose a different life; I moved from Lower Manhattan to rural Northern New Mexico, raised a family, and worked freelance. I now work between Southwest France and New York City, photographing artists at home using available light.

I’ve never put down my camera or stopped making photographs of the people and things in my world, and now I’m back in New York City photographing artists at home using available light.
